INTRODUCTION

Ideal Indian School, established on 20^th May 1985 by 62 prominent members of the Indian community in Qatar, is a premier English medium educational institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and approved by the Ministry of Education, State of Qatar. From its humble beginning two decades ago, the School has come to be recognised as an icon of excellence not only in this peninsula but also the Arabian Gulf. At present it boasts of 4300 students against 270 at its inception. Although founded to meet the persistent demands of the Indian community for quality education, the School is open to other expatriate communities as well. Students from 33 nations reap the benefits of the Indian educational system and co-exist harmoniously. Ideal Indian School is a non-commercial organisation run by a Managing Committee duly elected by the Founder members
